The Academy is a non-profit, independent organization founded to nurture and develop musical sensitivity and skill in support of the many positive roles music plays in personal development, within our culture as a whole, and as enrichment to worship within our communities of faith. Through the discipline of teaching musical skills and technique in both private music lessons and in ensemble settings, our purpose is twofold: to teach music as a means of creative expression for those things most sacred to each individual, and to encourage students to use music as a means of service to enrich the lives of others. The Academy offers instruction for all ages and is open to all regardless of faith affiliation. Individual lessons are offered in most disciplines including voice, piano, strings, brass, winds, percussion, and guitar. Acting Class and Summer Musical Camp offer theatrical experience and skills.

Mount Calvary Academy of Music has partnered with Mount Olive Lutheran Church for a South Minneapolis location, offering private instruction on site at Mount Olive.
