Worship at Mount Calvary

At the center of our worship stands a merciful God who we encounter. Worship itself is an invitation to encounter God as we gather together for prayers and proclamation, sacraments and songs - God acts in baptism, in communion and in the word.

Sunday worship services follow a pattern that has existed since the earliest times of the Christian church: gathering, word, meal and sending.

In gathering, we enter the sanctuary pausing to pray or meditate on the presence of God in our lives.

In hearing the word of God, we sing hymns and psalms, listen to the scripture readings and learn more about their meaning through the sermon.

We celebrate the gift of Holy Communion where all who seek to live in the way of Jesus Christ and desire His forgiveness and grace are welcome to participate.

Equipped and challenged in worship, we are sent into the world to share the love of God and serve others - this is our commission as Disciples of Christ.
