Whether we are baptized as an infant, youth or adult God’s promises are the same. In baptism God claims us as God’s own and no matter what happens in our life we belong to God and God belongs to us. Through baptism we become children of God and benefit from the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This means that our sins are forgiven and our life is eternal. In the Lutheran Church we believe that baptism is for all and for all ages. Baptism is a time of celebration for the whole church where we welcome new brothers and sisters into God's family!
If you are an adult who would like to be baptized please contact one of the pastors and they will make arrangements to meet with you to celebrate how God is active in your life and guide you as prepare for your baptism.
At Mount Calvary before a child is baptized, the family, child and sponsors attend a "class." This class helps all to understand baptism and their role in it. It also helps to prepare moms, dads and sponsors to take on the responsibilities and promises made during baptism.
If you want to be baptized or have your child baptized at Mount Calvary contact the baptism coordinator at the church office, 952-474-8893, to schedule the baptism and register for the class.
