Are you an incoming 6th grader? Are you a new or returning 7th or 8th grader? We have another great year ahead and we are excited to see you all back in action on Wednesday nights!

PARENT MEETINGS

There are two opportunities for parent only meetings this year, please indicate which session you will attend on your registration form. These are important meetings at which you will receive the parent handbook including confirmation schedule, discover the curriculum for the year, learn about retreats, learn about family participation evenings, and new service requirements for the year. All parents of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are required to attend. Please choose from the following dates: Wednesday, September 1st & 8th: 6:15pm to 7:15pm - Parents Only Meeting

HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2010-2011

Ben Richter will be leading our worship and worship band-he's an amazing and talented musician. We will also welcome back the Christian Hip Hop artist called Agape (a huge crowd pleaser last year), a folk-rock duo called Tangled Blue, and nationally known singer/songwriter Rachel Kurtz. In the winter, we will all gather to make sandwiches for the ministry 363 Days to feed the homeless(last year we made 4000!). We will have powerful and fun worship and enjoy having a crop of new 6th graders to welcome. We begin with large group time from 6:15-6:45pm and then move to small groups from 6:45-7:30pm. We will also be offering again a two-week sexuality class led by Pastor Dave and Andrea for 7th and 8th graders and their parents.

6TH GRADE CONFIRMATION will be led by Andrea Fieldhouse and follows the format of having 6th graders and parents meet here at church every other Wednesday, working together at home on alternate Wednesdays. Please click on the link at the top of the page to register your 6th Grader for the 2010-11 year along with the $155 registration fee.

7TH & 8TH GRADE CONFIRMATION will be led by Pastor Dave and worship led by Ben Richter. We want ALL new AND returning 7th & 8th graders to fill out a registration form (see links at the top of the page) with the $155 fee. The fee covers the cost of all materials, curriculum, retreats and special events.

September 17-18: 6th grade overnight retreat at Camp Iduhapi, Loretto, MN
October 15-17: 7th Grade overnight retreat at Luther Park, Danbury ,WI
November 5-7: 8th Grade overnight retreat at Luther Park, Danbury, WI

Youth Volunteer Opportunities for Sunday School

If you like working with kids, check out the many ways you can use your gifts volunteering for Sunday School. Fill out the volunteer form to tell us how you would like to serve. (Descriptions are on the 2nd page of the form) Get it back to church before August 31 so that we can get you connected and trained for your role before Sunday School begins.
