The four pillars of the Senior High program are: Bible study, fellowship, worship, and Service/Mission/Outreach
 

Wednesday Night Worship - Every Wednesday features a lively, interactive worship at 6:15pm.

Youth Group - Every Wednesday 6:30-8 in the Youth Room come join your fellow youth and some caring adults for pizza, games, and large and small group discussion on a Bible study, or topics for teens.

Monthly activities - Every month features one fun activity and/or a service opportunity. Look for regular mailings and e-mailings about these events.

Communication - - In addition to regular mailings and e-mailings, the Mount Calvary website (http://www.mountcalvary.org/) gets updates about upcoming events. All events will also be posted on our Facebook page, "Mount Calvary Youth. EXCELSIOR!!", our Twitter: MtCalvaryYouth, and through email and text message. The Current

Every Wednesday from 6:15pm to 6:45pm we have "The Current" worship. It's not just for Confirmation students. It is an energetic, and spirit-filled service led by Ben Richter and the Confirband..

October 10 - Orchard Day
Hayride, Corn Maze, Hey Mountain, live music, apple donuts, petting zoo, and more! Join us for a day at Minnetonka Orchards, 4:30-7:30pm. Cost is $10.
 
November 12-13 - Gustavus Sleepout
Spend a night at Gustavus Adolphus College sleeping in a cardboard box. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of homelessness and learn about hunger issues. Meet at 5:30 on Nov. 12, home by 6pm, Nov. 13. This event is free! Sign up with Ben by November 7th.
 
December 4 - His House
Help Mount Calvary member Marty Brannon's thrift shop off of Hwy 7 and Vine Hill Boulevard get set up for Christmas! 9am-1pm.
 
January 21-22 - Lock-in
This is THE fun event of the year. We take over the church and play games (Guitar Hero, WHOMP!! Ball, Jenga, Sardines, and more!), watch movies, have midnight worship. Sleep is optional! 7pm-8am. Cost is $10.
 
February 13 - Valentine's Party
People Serving People is a homeless shelter for families in Minneapolis, which houses lots of kids. We're going to throw a Valentine's Day party for the kids that live there. 12-4pm. This event is free!
 
March 19 - Cosmic Bowling/Laser Tag
Let's do some cosmic bowling! And play some laser tag! Sound good? Great! See you there! 6:30-10:30pm. Cost is $25.
 
May 22 - End-of-year Cookout
We'll do some grilling at the Excelsior Commons. Recently confirmed 8th graders are welcome to join us!

Youth Volunteer Opportunities for Sunday School

If you like working with kids, check out the many ways you can use your gifts volunteering for Sunday School. Fill out the volunteer form to tell us how you would like to serve. (Descriptions are on the 2nd page of the form) Get it back to church before August 31 so that we can get you connected and trained for your role before Sunday School begins. Luther Park Camping and Retreat Center invites you to join us to share in the love and joy of God's family.We are an outreach ministry of more than 45 ELCA congregations.
