GREETERS WANTED!
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to serve as greeters at the Saturday and Sunday services. It will just take about 30 minutes of your time before the service. A friendly smile and a handshake always makes people feel more welcome. There is a sign-up sheet in the Atrium. Thank you. And thank you to all of you who served as Greeters during the summer months. It was much appreciated.

THRIVENT TOUR BIKE MARATHON TO BENEFIT BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS
This year's Thrivent Tour bike marathon is scheduled for Thursday, September 16th-Saturday, September 18th. The ride will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, which provides programs and services to help thousands of kids in our community find a place to belong, grow and learn. Andrea Fieldhouse (Director of Family Ministry) and Mark Abelsen (Director of Worship & Music) invite you to a new contemplative service designed for those in our community eager to share in the power of quiet, meditative prayer. "Be Still and Know: Prayer Around the Cross" is a service that includes scripture readings, reflections, silence, songs and chants from around the world as well as opportunities for kneeling, lighting candles and praying. All are welcome to this evening prayer service where our hope is that you will connect fully with the presence of God and deepen your faith.

Mount Calvary is in need of front desk volunteers for our church office either Thursday afternoons from noon-4:00pm, or Friday afternoons from noon-4:00pm. Duties include answering telephones, greeting office visitors, and general light office work. Basic computer knowledge is a plus but not mandatory. Contact Peggy Morgan in the church office at 952-474-8893 x103, or peggy.morgan@mountcalvary.org for more information.

Rob Moschet, Mount Calvary member and an attorney, would like to volunteer assistance to senior citizen members of Mount Calvary through the Tender Lutheran Care Givers program. He will be available by appointment to review contracts and other documents at no charge, and to act as a resource for questions about programs affecting seniors. Appointments to meet with Rob can be made through the church office.
